Chapter 4 TROUBLESHOOTINGS & F.A.Q
4.1 Troubleshooting:
Problems
Probable Cause
Corrective Action
POWER LED is Off
Power Supply problem
Check
Power Supply
Connections
and reconnect power supply to
repeater.
ALARM LED is in Red
Input signals are too high
Action1: Please rotate the pointing
direction of external antenna to side
point of donor BTS to reduce input
signals, until the ALARM LED turns to
Green.
OR
Action2: Using attenuator between
amplifier and donor ANT to reduce
input signals.
Self-oscillation
Disconnect equipment and
internal
antenna
, then connect a
Terminator
at the
Indoor port
, if the red light
changes to green or orange, which
means the isolation of donor antenna
and service antenna is not enough,
then please enlarge the separation
between the external and internal
antennas, until the light shows green.
After increasing the separation, it is
necessary to switch the amplifier off.
ALARM LED is in
Orange at all time
Input signals are too high
Switch on the
ATT Dip
s to increase
the attenuating value from 1dB to
16dB step by step, until the ALARM
LED just turns to Green from orange
ALARM LED is Off
Repeater damaged
Contact us to get it retuned or
repaired.
ALARM LED is in Green
but the signals of cell
phone are weak
Input signals or donor signals
are low
1. Reorient or relocate the external
antenna. Avoid any obstacle between
donor BTS and donor antenna.
2. Replace a new antenna with high
gain.
High return loss or cable loss
Check whether all the connections are
tight and correct. Try to put repeater
near to internal antenna.
Repositioning the coaxial cables you
ran.
