First we would like to familiarize you with the various
components used on your CENTURION pedelec.
Please unfold the cover of this translation of the origi-
nal CENTURION operating instructions
(a)
. Here you
will find two CENTURION pedelecs showing all the
essential components. Leave the page unfolded as
you read. They help you to easily locate the compo-
nents as they are referred to in the text.
G
For your own safety, never do any
maintenance work or adjusting on your
pedelec unless you feel absolutely sure
about it. If you are in doubt or if you have any
questions, contact your CENTURION dealer.
G
Please note: Do not hitch yourself and
your bike to a car. Do not ride freehand.
Only take your feet off the pedals, if re-
quired by the condition of the road.

Intended use
Keep in mind that every type of pedelec is designed
for a specific use. Be sure to use your CENTURION
pedelec only according to its intended use, as it may
otherwise not withstand the stress, fail and cause an
accident with unforeseeable consequences! If you
use your pedelec for another than its intended pur-
pose, the warranty will become void.

ycles) are bicycles with
an auxiliary motor that only switches on when you
move the pedals. When you stop pedaling, the
motor switches off.
A driving license is not required for riding a
CENTURION pedelec
(b+c)
, if the motor assis-
tance switches off automatically at a speed of 25
kmh. You do not need an operating license and
need not insure the pedelec either.
In general, all regulations that apply to bicy-
cles also apply to CENTURION pedelecs. In-
form yourself in the country where you use your
CENTURION pedelec whether wearing a helmet
is compulsory
(d)
or not.
Do not confuse your CENTURION pedelec with a
speed pedelec.
