Operating Instructions
Read the entire Important Safety Information section at the beginning of this
document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of
this product.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH: Do not operate
Power Inverter while car engine is running in an enclosed area
.
1. Move the vehicle outside any enclosed
structure. Turn on the vehicle’s engine.
2. Using the supplied Power Cord, connect
the vehicle’s 12V Accessory Receptacle
(Ex: cigarette lighter) to the Power Inverter.
3. Turn on the Power Inverter by pressing
the Power button and the Power/
Fault LED should illuminate green.
4. To power an item:
a.
Appliance or USB device: With the
item switched off, plug it into the
Power Inverter’s 120 VAC Outlets
or USB Outlet, as appropriate.
b.
If the item uses a 12V adapter: With
the item switched off, connect it into
the Power Inverter’s 12 VDC Outlet.
5. Turn on the item.
NOTICE: The total wattage of all
items plugged into the Power Inverter
must not exceed 200 watts during
continuous operation, otherwise the
Power Inverter may overload.
Note:
This Power Inverter has an automatic
shut off or overload feature: If the load of all
connected items pulls more than 250 watts,
or if the input to the Power Inverter is
over 15.5 VDC, the Power Inverter’s LED
will turn red and it will shut itself off.
Note:
If the AC Receptacle is short-
circuited, the Power Inverter will shut
itself off and its LED will blink red.
NOTICE:
Some items may damage the
Power Inverter. When first plugging an
item in, monitor the Power Inverter’s
temperature for the first 10 minutes. If it
becomes abnormally hot, unplug the item
and do not use it with the Power Inverter.
Note:
When first connecting items to the Power
Inverter, do so while the vehicle’s engine is
running. Thereafter the engine can be on or off.
Note:
If running the Power Inverter with the
engine off, run the engine every hour for at
least 10 minutes to recharge the battery.
This will help prevent any unexpected
shutdown of item(s) and ensure there will be
enough battery power to start the vehicle.
6. After use, first turn off the item and then turn
off the Power Inverter by pressing the Power
button. The Power/Fault LED will extinguish.
7. To prevent accidents, unplug the Power
Inverter from the vehicle’s 12V Accessory
Receptacle. Clean its external surface
with a clean and dry cloth, and store
it indoors out of children’s reach.
