GENERAL
2.1
The CEECO Model SSW-521-X-ADA Hands free telephone is a sturdy,
vandal resistant, Stainless Steel Speakerphone, with optional ADA feature
(RED/GREEN LED). Instead of a hookswitch and handset, the telephone
is equipped with a Press to start/Press to stop Emergency Call Button. The
button provides automatic “off-hook” / “on-hook” condition of the phone
line in order for the external call equipment (i.e. Central Office or PBX) to
direct the call as intended. The phone itself will not dial anything. It
simply provides the “off-hook” condition, and talk path for two-way,
handsfree communication. The phone is well suited for inbound or
incoming call situations, where the phone simply requires answering.
2.2
The microphone is muted during dial tone eliminating the use of hand held
dialers.
2.3
The telephone may be programmed to:
allow or block incoming calls (if equipped with ringer)
automatically time and disconnect a phone call
automatically operate a changing-color LED for visual call progress
indication.

Programming is accomplished via the DTMF keypad, which is packaged
separately.
