Step 3
: Next, verify that the two solenoid plungers
are properly aligned with the CLOSE and TRIP
buttons as shown on the figure to the right. If they
are not, adjust the location of the solenoids until
they are properly aligned. The recommended
distance from the plunger to the pushbutton is
1/8”.
Step 4
: Next, pull the charging arm out away from
the breaker and place the black composite handle
adapter over it. Press the adapter onto the changing
arm until it fits firmly and completely over the
charging arm as shown to the right.
Step 5
: Connect the charging linkage to the handle
adapter by inserting the rod-end into the clevis and
aligning the hole (Manual rotation of the motor arm
may be necessary). Next, insert the clip through the
rod-end and clevis and press the fitted end of the clip
over the clevis to secure the linkage in place.
The RSA-180 is now properly installed and ready for
operation.
