OPERATING YOUR KE 8120 R KETTLE

BEFORE FIRST USE

Before first use, remove all packaging

and advertising labels / stickers from the

appliance. Before using the kettle for the first

time, allow the kettle to boil clean water. Fill

the cattle with clean water, bring to a boil

and then pour the water out. Repeat this

procedure 3 to 4 times. The kettle is then

ready for use. Your kettle will only operate

correctly if placed on its base connected to

an electric outlet. As soon as the water boils,

the kettle will switch off automatically.

USING YOUR KETTLE

1.  To fill the kettle with water, remove it

from its base and press the handle to

open the lid. This will release the lid

safety switch. Fill the kettle with the

required amount of water. Do not fill

the kettle below the minimum or above

the maximum level mark. Lack of water

would lead to turning the kettle off

before boiling. If the kettle is overfilled,

the boiling water might splash out.

2.  Closed lid and make sure it’s firmly

secured. Place the kettle on its base.

Insert the mains cord plug into a power

socket. A short acoustic signal will sound.

3.  Select required temperature using the

and   buttons. The light indicator over

the selected temperature will light in

blue.

4.  Press the   button to turn the kettle

on. You can also adjust the temperature

during heating with the   or   button.

5.  Red light indicators over the

temperatures will light step by step

under the selected temperature while

the heating is in progress.

NOTE

If the difference between the newly

set temperature and the kettle water

temperature is less than 5°C, the kettle

will not start. In such case, either

increase the set temperature or wait

until the kettle water temperature has

decreased.

NOTE

Never fill the kettle if it is located on

the base. Do not fill the kettle below

the minimum or above the maximum

level mark. Lack of water would lead

to turning the kettle off before boiling.

If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water

may splash out.

NOTE

This kettle should be used only with

the supplied base. When pouring out

water from the kettle, be careful to

avoid scalding with hot water. Do not

pour water too fast.

6.  As soon as the water boils the kettle

will turn off automatically and an

acoustic alert will sound. The selected

temperature’s indicator light will be lit

red. Remove the kettle from its base and

press the lid lock to pour water in cup,

mug or other container. To boil water

repeatedly, it’s necessary to wait a few

seconds for the heating element to cool

down.

7.  To interrupt the water boiling process at

any time, press  .
