13. When you change the power cable, you should select the same model cable and: it is only allowed to 

let a professional electrician do this.

14. Never use other parts than the ones which are from CaterChef.  

CaterChef is not taking any responsibilty for damage caused by the use of other (non-related) parts.

15. If you need to (re)connect, repair or maintain the applaince, do not do this by yourself.  

This is forbidden. This must always be done by a professional electrician.

16. If there are any abnormal phenomenons during usage, you must stop the appliance directly.  

After checking you can continue to use it as long as it is safe. Do not repair the appliance by yourself.  

This should always been done by a technical professional.

17. During operation or cooling down: always keep the appliance out of reach of children.  

This, mainly to prevent burning injuries.

DEGREASE:

Before operating for the first time, clean the device with warm water, a wet cloth and a small amount of 

detergent. Do not rinse the appliance under the tap, this could cause serious damage to the appliance.  

In addition, make sure that you have dried it properly before you start operating the device.

REGULAR USE:

1.  Never use pots and pans on the glass ceramic surface. The grill surface was designed to cook food, not 

to heat pots.

1. Temperature controller (50ºC~400ºC)

Turn the convection oven on

•  The thermostat can be used to automatically set a constant temperature between 50°C and 400°C.

•  Set the temperature control to the desired temperature.  

The temperature light, is on. 

The temperature light will be off when the temperature rises to the desired temperature.

Temperature light - 

When the light is on, the grill is generating heat.

•  When the light is off, the set  temperature has been reached.

•  You will notice the light cycling on and off during the cooking process.

•  When the light is on, the grill is  supplying more heat to the grilling surface. 

•  When it is off the grill has reached the set temperature.

Power light - 

When the light is on, the grill supplies power.

Power switch (only model 688.460) - 

Turn the switch, the power of the grill is on.

Thermostat - 

Turn the dial clockwise to set the desired grilling power

.

8.  The Contact Grill preheats within a few minutes. To preheat the grill, simply set the desired cooking 

 temperature and close the top. You will notice the temperature light illuminates, this indicates that the 

 power is going to the grill. Your grill will be preheated and ready to start cooking in about  

2 or 3 minutes. When the power light is no longer illuminated, the grill is ready for usage.

9.  Sandwiches will usually take between 2 - 5 minutes to heat throughout. The cooking time depends upon 

the bread you use and the ingredients you have chosen for your sandwich.  

Your Deli supervisor can determine the proper times and temperatures.

10. Light pressure is all you need when lowering the top grill to assure a perfectly cooked sandwich. 

 Excessive pressure will not speed up the cooking process and product quality may be compromised.

11. To keep your grill clean between sandwiches, simply wipe the grill surfaces with a clean oiled paper 

towel.
