11. Gently roll infant to his side and clean the infant’s back, then reposition infant to his back.

12. Wash genital area with a washcloth.
13. Wash infant’s head last to conserve heat. Use the clean water from the rinse cup to rinse
the baby’s head.
14. Unswaddle infant and lift infant out of tub and into a drying towel. Pat dry making sure
infant’s head is dry.

TurtleTub Cleaning and Storage:
- Use the pour spout to empty the water from the tub. (Figure 4) Wash the TurtleTub with
gentle soap and water and dry.
- Launder fleece blanket in warm water and tumble dry.
- Store the TurtleTub in the hanging mesh storage bag.

TurtleTub Instructions For Use:
1. Inspect the tub prior to use and discontinue the use of the product if it becomes
damaged, broken or disassembled.
2. Clean TurtleTub with mild soap and water prior to use.
3. Modify environment as needed to decrease draft and distractions.
4. Babies can drown in as little as
1 inch
of water. Use as little water as possible to bathe
your baby.
5. Bath water should be between 90°F and 100°F (32°C and 38°C) per consumer product
bathtub guidelines. (Medical research has shown that 100°F to 103°F (38°C to 39°C) is a
more appropriate bath temperature for infant swaddle bathing

.) Always test the water
with your hand in addition to using the temperature strip.
Temperature strip will turn green when temperature is in the appropriate range for
infant swaddle bathing.
6. Fill a rinse cup with clean water.
7. Swaddle unclothed infant in the fleece blanket. (Figure 1)

8. Place swaddled infant in tub.
9. Wash baby’s face, outer ear, neck and behind the ears with a washcloth.
10. Gently unswaddle one arm and use baby wash on your hands to wash the arm. Use a
firm, but gentle touch. (Figure 2) Rinse the arm and re-swaddle. Repeat wash and rinse
with the other arm, legs and chest. Keep infant swaddled throughout the bath.
