Test Details

Select “[8].2D Scanner Dust 
Check” from All Test MENU-3 
screen.

Take a picture of white paper 
without taint by pressing the 
Center Trigger key.

Check if any foreign substances 
are included in the captured 
image. 

If nothing is found or the included 
substance is small (OK):
Press the “1” key.
(Use the following criteria for 
determining.)

If the substance is large (Failure):
Press the “0” key.

Pressing the “1” or “0” key returns 
you to the Menu screen.

“Utility” - “Image Scanner Demo”.

Six menu buttons (Scan 
barcode, Scan several 
barcodes, Capture image, Scan 
target barcode, Challenge 
scanning speed and Setting) 
are displayed.

Click the menu button “3 
Capture image” and press 
the Trigger key to capture an 
image.

The read image is displayed on 
the screen.
Check that the image is read 
correctly.

Click the “Exit” button at the 
bottom left to close the screen.

Perform the test for the button  
“1 Scan barcode” to check that 
the read data is displayed on the 
screen.
