4. Under the boat, place a large bucket beneath each
waste tank’s overboard discharge fitting to collect
antifreeze pumped out later in this procedure.
5. Locate the forward waste tank bypass valve. This
valve lets you bypass the forward waste tank and
flush waste directly overboard. Position the valve to
"HOLDING TANK".
You must use an approved antifreeze in your boat’s
sanitation system. Refer to the SeaLand Technical
Bulletin at the end of this section for information on
the proper type of antifreeze to use. Using the wrong
type of antifreeze can damage the sanitation system.
The repair of such damage is not included under the
terms of either the Carver Limited Warranty or the
sanitation system OEM’s warranty.
6. Flush 10 gallons of nontoxic recreational vehicle
antifreeze through the forward toilet.
7. Open the forward waste tank’s overboard discharge
seacock. This seacock is located beneath the for-
ward hatch in the salon.
8. Turn the forward waste pump ON/OFF switch ON.
The switch is located near the forward overboard
discharge seacock.
9. When a steady stream of antifreeze flows from the
forward overboard discharge fitting, turn the waste
pump "OFF".
10. Close the forward waste tank’s overboard discharge
seacock.
11. Under the boat, place a large bucket beneath the
forward toilet’s direct overboard discharge fitting to
collect antifreeze pumped out later in this proce-
dure.
12. Open the forward toilet’s direct overboard dis-
charge seacock. This seacock is located beneath the
forward hatch in the salon.
