To attach TruVu MPC I/O expanders
An TruVu
TM
MPC I/O expander can be directly-connected to the TV-MPCXP's I/O bus edge connector or wired to the
TV-MPCXP's
I/O Bus
port.
To connect the TruVu
TM
MPC I/O expander to the I/O bus edge connector
NOTE
The following instructions assume that the controller is already mounted either on a DIN rail or using
screws.

Turn
off
the TV-MPCXP's power.

Remove the plastic protective cap from the TV-MPCXP's I/O bus edge connector and the expander's edge
connector. Squeeze the plastic tabs to pull the cap off.
WARNING
This connector provides power and communication. To prevent risk of shock, do not touch
the bare edge connector if the controller's power is on.

DIN rail mounting only

Push down and pull out the expander's center tabs shown below.

Slide the expander's left edge connector down onto the TV-MPCXP's edge connector.

Do one of the following:

DIN rail mounting
—
Push in the expander's center tabs towards the expander until you hear them click.
Pull gently on the expander to verify that it is locked to the DIN rail.

Screw mounting
—
Insert #6 screws through the expander's mounting holes.

Optional: If using DC power, you may connect additional TruVu
TM
MPC I/O expanders in the same manner
described above. See the diagrams in
TruVu
