1. Identify heater cover(s) to remove. (See Fig. 15 and 26.) On
units without the notch in slot 2 (units with a production date
before September 28, 2009) where a heater(s) needs to be
replaced with one of CRHEATER113B00-116B00,
128B00-29B00, it is recommended to drill out the rivets
fastening the restrictor plate to the back of the heater control
box/mounting plate and remove the restrictor plate. It is not
recommended to bend the restrictor plate flat to allow the
heater to be installed into slot 2 because it will leave air gaps
between the heater mounting plate and the unit mounting
bracket. (See Fig. 13 and 14.)
a. All two-heater installations: Remove both heater covers.
Save covers and screws.
