Installation Instructions

Part Number: 53DS-900---062 (115 v)

Part Number: 53DS-900---064 (230 v)

GENERAL

NOTE: Read and become familiar with these instructions
before beginning installation.

The two-part accessory kit (condensate pump and detec-

tion unit) is for use with the size 009 (115v), 012 (230 v),
018 (230v), 024 (230v), high wall fan coil units. Refer to
Table 1 for a list of parts included in this kit.

The condensate pump is designed to provide an 8.2 ft maxi-

mum lift of condensate in situations where space and con-
struction prevent gravity drainage.

A float switch in the detection unit will prevent overflow

while in use and can also act as a safety device when the
user optional alarm contact is utilized. The detection unit comes

with normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) alarm con-
tacts (user optional, but recommended).

The normally closed (NC) alarm contact is a dry contact

rated for 8 amps at 250 volts. In the event of a problem such
as a clogged filter or pump discharge line, the alarm contact
can be wired to shut down the entire system and/or initiate
an audible or visual alarm. See Fig. 1.

The pump will operate whenever the condensate level in

the detection unit is high enough to cause the magnetic float
switch to send a signal to start the pump.

Failure to follow instructions properly may result in unit
failure and damage.
