5) Install the wall outlet (12) onto the spigot of adaptor (17),

ensuring grub screw (12a) is engaged with guide hole in cover

plate (5) (Fig.4), then push it firmly against the cover plate (5)

while tightening grub screws (13) using the 2mm allen key (14).

Turn off hot and cold water supplies.
Carefully remove plug (4) before using a 2.5mm allen key (3) to

loosen grub screw (2) and remove handle (1). Remove cap (5)

taking care not to damage the decorative finish. Unscrew nut (6)

then lift out old cartridge (7).

2)

Ensure inside face of mixer body (8) is clean. Check that seal (7a)

is in position in base of new cartridge (7). Fit new cartridge (7) into

mixer body (8), taking care that two lugs on base of cartridge (7)

fit into mating holes in mixer body (8).
Screw on nut (6).

Important:- Nut (6) should be tightened to a

torque of 10 Nm.

5)

6)Turn on water supplies and check operation.

+ Not supplied.

2)Connect the outlet of mixer body (8) to the inlet of wall elbow

(11

+

) using suitable pipework.

Note: Pipework and fittings are

not supplied. Fit the large hole of the template (15) over the

protective sleeve of the mixer body with the G1/2B outlet thread

of the wall elbow (11+) located in the remaining hole as shown

in Fig. 6.

Note:- The flat face of the template (15) must be at the

back. Place a spirit level on the corner pegs at the top of the

template (15), then when the alignment is horizontal fix the wall

elbow using suitable screws through the holes in its base.

Remove template (15) & discard.

When completing the installation, after sheeting/tiling, remove

protection sleeve from mixer body (9) and discard. Check that

the end of the G1/2B outlet thread of the wall elbow (11

+

) is

8 2mm from the finished wall/tile face. Cut to length if required.

Apply thread tape to the thread of wall elbow (11

+

).

Important: Care must be taken that thread tape cannot become

dislodged and block the flow regulating device, causing a

reduction in water flow. Screw adaptor (17) onto wall elbow (11

+

)

taking care that face 'X' of adaptor (17) is flush to 1mm below the

finished wall/tile face. (Fig. 5). Apply suitable lubricant to 'O'Rings

on adaptor (17). If the flow regulator is not required, it should be

removed now (Ref.  'Servicing the Flow Regulator').

CONTURA - WALL BASIN/BATH MIXER

WATER EFFICIENT TAPWARE

Servicing the Flow Regulator (Fig.5)

Loosen screws (13) using 2mm allen key (14) & slide outlet (12)

from adaptor (17). Unscrew regulator housing (16) from adaptor

(17) using a suitable spanner. If required the regulator can be

removed from the housing by using the 2mm allen key to carefully

push it out through the waterway hole. Ensure flow regulator (16)

is not damaged and is clean and free of blockages.

2)

3) If replacing the regulator, push it into the housing (16) until it is

bottomed. Screw on the housing (16) & tighten.

Apply a suitable clear sealant to the back edge of the cover

plate (9), leaving an unsealed section at the bottom for drainage.

After making sure seal (9a) is in place as shown in Fig. 1 carefully

fit the cover plate (9) onto the mixer body (8). Push the cover

plate (9) firmly against the wall/tile face and engage the smaller

hole in the plate with the spigot on adaptor (17). Wipe/clean

excess sealant from the chrome surfaces & the wall/tile face.

(See Fig. 1 & Fig.5).

4)

Turn off hot and cold water supplies.

1)

Assemble the wall outlet (12) onto the adaptor (17) and, while

holding firmly against the wall cover plate, tighten screws (13)

by using allen key (14).

4)

Fit handle (1) taking care that it is pushed fully onto cartridge

stem, then tighten grub screw (2) using the 2.5mm allen key (3).

Fit plug (4), taking care not to damage the decorative finish.

Turn on Hot and Cold water supplies and check operation.

Fit handle (1) taking care that it is pushed fully ontocartridge stem,

then tighten grub screw (2) using the 2.5mm allen key (3).

Replace plug (4), taking care not to damage the decorative finish.

Important Information

To ensure the wall elbow (11

+

) is mounted accurately, a plastic

template (15) is supplied to assist with installation. (Fig.6)

* HOT & COLD WATER INLET PRESSURES MUST BE EQUAL.

Not suitable for gravity feed systems.

*

*

Adaptor (17) is fitted with a flow regulator. This low flow rate

may not be suitable for connection to some  Instantaneous

Gas Water Heaters, some Tempering Valves, some Solar

Water Heaters & some Thermostatic Mixing Valves. Check

with the manufacturers of these products. For applications

where flow regulation is not suitable (e.g. bath), the flow

regulator should be removed. To convert the basin outlet to

a bath outlet, the flow regulator can be accessed by referring

to the flow regulator servicing instructions (Fig.5)

*

Brazed connections should NOT be made directly onto the

mixer, as excessive heat will cause permanent damage.

*

* All pipework must be thoroughly flushed prior to installation,

as foreign materials may block the flow regulating device

and reduce the flow of water.

Determine if outlet (12) is to be positioned to the right or the left of

the mixer body (8) when installed (Fig 2.). Fit mixer body (8) onto a

suitable mounting plate or noggin in the wall and secure using

screws through the holes in its base.

Note: Fit the cover plate (9) to

the mixer body (8) and level off one edge before fixing the body in

position. When facing the mixer, the connections should be as

follows :

Hot water inlet connection 'H' to the left.

Cold water inlet connection 'C' to the right.

Mixed water outlet connection, vertically upwards.

Note : A suitable elbow fitting (10

+

) should be fitted to the inlet

connection adjacent to the outlet (12) (Fig.2). Check all connections

for leaks.

Important :

Mixer body (8) must be installed square to wall/tile face, to ensure

cover plate (9) sits flush.

To avoid damaging the decorative finish, do not remove the

protective sleeve until installation has been completed.

Note: If the outlet (12) is required to be on the left of the mixer

body (8) when installed, remove screw (12a) with 2mm allen key

(14) and fit into opposite hole in outlet (12).
