USING YOUR APPLIANCE

Start With Good Hair Maintenance:

•  Always keep your hair clean and properly

conditioned. Hair is only as healthy looking

as the care it gets. The cut is important,

but proper care is crucial.

•  For best results, wash, comb and dry

hair until just damp to touch-although the

appliance can be used for touch ups at

any time.

1.  Fully unwind the mains cable.
2.  Plug the straightener into the mains

socket and switch on the product.

3.  Wait for 1 -2 minutes to allow the

appliance to reach its working

temperature.

4.  Divide hair into manageable sections and

clip the upper layers on top of your head

and out of the way. Work with underneath

layer first.

5.  Take a small section of hair and pull hair

down and away from your scalp and hold

it taut.

6.  Starting with the roots, clamp hair

firmly between the plates and run the

straightener down the entire hair strand,

from root to tip, in one smooth stroke. Do

not hold it in one area for a long period of

time.

7.  Repeat with all the sections of your hair.
8.  When you are finishing styling, slide the

on/off switch to turn the unit off, unplug

the unit and allow it to completely cool

down before cleaning or storing.

Last Minute Curls:

•  Starting part way down the hair, take a

section and wrap it round the ceramic

straightening plate.

•  Close the plates together and hold

for a few seconds before pulling the

straighteners away to reveal a curl.

•  The longer you hold the hair in the

straightener, the more defined the curl will

be.

•  Once you’ve curled your hair all over, run

your fingers through the curls if you want

them to look more natural.

•  Set with salt spray for textured look, or

hair spray for curls that last all night.

Sectioning:

There are many ways to section hair.
1.  To begin, take the top layer of hair and pull

it into a messy bun on top of the head.

2.  Take the next layer and tie it up just

underneath the first bun - This should

leave the bottom layer loose and down.

3.  Part the hair over the shoulders and now

you are ready to straighten.

4.  When the bottom layer is straightened,

release the next section and straighten.

5.  Continue until all hair is loose and

straightened as desired.

Note:

Depending on the style and thickness of

the hair, you may have to section off multiple

upper layers.
