4.
Position the wing leading edge (L.E.) in place
over the plan and pin.
Secure the ends of both spars with pins, as
shown.
5.
Remove the two #5 ribs nearest the wing cen-
ter.
Glue all remaining #5 ribs, as shown on the
plan.
IMPORTANT! IF BUILDING THE LEFT WING, PRO-
CEED DIRECTLY TO STEP 10.
6.
Noting that the rear spar joiner has a tapered
end, fit the front and rear spar joiners into posi-
tion as shown.
Glue the joiners to the spars and, referring to
the plan, hold in place with the gauges. Allow
to dry.
7.
Taking care to make sure that the grain of the
sheeting will run parrallel to the spars, L.E. and
T.E., cut three 3-1/4” pieces from a 1/16 x 3 x
24” balsa sheet.
8.
Slide one piece of sheeting forward until it just
touches the L.E. Gently holding the sheet in
position, mark the spar location on both of the
rear corners of the sheet.
3.
Align the notches in the wing trailing edge (T.E)
with those shown on the plan.
Using no glue, position the four #5 ribs as
shown above. Hook each rib over the main
spar and then over the rear spar, as you go.
