5 Cleaning and disinfection
5.1 Cleaning
When using pressure mattress replacement system in non-clinical aeas the users or
appropriately trained cleaning personnel can carry out the cleaning of the device.
Cleaning of the power unit Cleaning of the surfaces of the power unit
1. Switch off the power unit and unplug the power plug from the socket.
2. Wet a soft cloth with water, mix it with commercially available washing-up liquid.
Wipe off dirt and dust accumulations.
3. Then dry the surfaces with a clean soft cloth.
Cleaning the coverlet
The hygiene regulations of institution are to be followed in the institutional care
environments.
Cleaning of the coverlet
1. Wet a soft cloth moderately with water, mix it with
commercially available washing-up liquid. Wipe off dirt.
2. Wipe cleaned areas with soft dry cloth.
3. If heavily soiled the coverlet can be washed in the machine using
commercially available usual detergent.
4. Washing temperature to be a maximum of 70°C, if possible,
select an intensive wash.
5. Dry the coverlet thoroughly after washing. Make sure that no
moisture remains in folds or creases.
The material of the coverlet is not designed for frequent and
multiple washes, damage from frequent and multiple washes are not
covered by the warranty.
If the coverlet is soiled or lose its water resistant properties, please
purchase a new coverlet from your distributor.
Any resulting damage from frequent and multiple washing will be not
covered by the warranty.
ATTENTION
Not permitted after treatment of the coverlet! As a
follow-up treatment of the coverlet:
• Do not bleach,
• Do not iron.
