•
High alarm set point: high alarm activation level, in ppm.
•
Calibration due: indicates the number of hours remaining until periodic
device calibration; the value shown depends on the type of sensitive
element used.
•
Sensor ID: sensitive element identification code.
•
Sensor gas: type of gas/refrigerant to be detected.
•
Sensor range: sensor working range.
•
Sensor ppm hours: the product of sensor operating hours and average
ppm detected. This value gives an estimate of the amount of refrigerant
that the sensor has come into contact with. It is therefore particularly
useful for sensitive elements based on semiconductor technology, so
as to estimate wear and plan replacement.
•
Sensor temperature: current sensitive element temperature, used for
measurement compensation.
•
Sensor squelch: sensor measurement uncertainty.
•
Low alarm behaviour: the main event that generates an alarm.
3.7.5 Test tab
The Test tab is used to manually test of all the device’s outputs.
For information on the unlock code, required to access this tab, see
paragraph “3.7.8 - Unlock code”.
When test status is activated (using the slider at the top), all of the set
output behaviours on the device can be activated, such as:
•
manage the LED
•
switch the buzzer on/off
•
activate/deactivate the relays
•
control the analogue output
See the image below.
Fig. 3.g
3.7.6 Configure tab
The Configure tab is used to set all of the options available for the Carel
GLD series gas detectors.
For information on the unlock code, required to access this tab, see
paragraph “3.7.8 - Unlock code”.
This tab can be used to:
•
set the device’s Alias;
•
set the unlock code and password;
•
Restore the factory settings (also possible using the physical buttons,
see the corresponding paragraph)
Furthermore, three specific sections are available: Alarms, Modbus and
Outputs. See the following images for reference.
Fig. 3.h
Fig. 3.i
Fig. 3.j
In particular, the following parameters can be set in each section.
ALARMS
•
Low Alarm Setpoint: used to set the low alarm level. This value cannot
be higher than the value selected for the High Alarm Setpoint. For
details on the set points, see paragraph “5.3 - Sensitive element”.
•
High Alarm Setpoint: used to set the high alarm level. This value cannot
be lower than the value selected for Low Alarm Setpoint. For details on
the set points, see paragraph “5.3 - Sensitive element”.
•
Alarm Latching: this function is used to maintain the device alarm or
fault status even after the alarm or fault condition is no longer present.
When the Alarm Latching function is active, any alarm or fault condition
remains active (LED, buzzer, relay, analogue output and Modbus) until
it is manually acknowledged by the operator. The function can also
be used to monitor any transient alarm or fault situations. When an
alarm is activated, a button will be displayed in the app’s Home tab. To
manually acknowledge the alarm or fault, press the button displayed
on the Home tab.
Default value: disabled.
MODBUS
•
Address: used you to set the RS485 Modbus communication address.
Possible values: from 1 to 247.
Default value: 1.
IMPORTANT
: each device connected to the same RS485 bus must
have its own address, otherwise there will be conflicts in transmission/
reception that prevent serial communication.
•
Baud Rate: sets the RS485 Modbus connection speed.
Possible values: 9600 or 19200.
Default value: 19200.
•
Stop Bits: sets the number of stop bits for the RS485 Modbus
connection.
Possible values: 1 or 2.
Default value: 2.
•
Parity: sets the parity for the MRS485 Modbus connection.
Possible values: None, Even or Odd.
Default value: None.
