1.2 Intended use
Helab seat cushions are a range of Swedish-made pressure redistribution
cushions that are
designed for stability and good sitting comfort. The cushions
are intended for users with body
sensation who can change their sitting position
and are at a low risk of developing pressure
ulcers.
The cushion must always be disinfected between users.
1.3 Other information
To achieve the best possible result for this product it is recommended that a well-planned and
well-structured working environment be used.
In our guideline "Action plan" you will find
examples which can be applied and put into practice when using our products.
2 Product description and performance
Helab seat cushions are available in a large numbers of different designs and sizes. The cushion
can be used in all segments of the healthcare market and are especially suitable for use with
wheelchairs. For details of the standard sizes available. See paragraph 2.2.

2.1 Covers
All covers are easy to manage and care for, and conform to stringent requirements in respect
of cleaning and hygiene. For more information about cleaning, see paragraph 4.
Standard Cover - A detachable plush polyester cover (100% polyester) with a zipper on the
rear edge. An elastic and flexible material on the top side that prevents the user sliding and an
underside made from an anti-slip material.
Hygienic cover – A liquid proof cover that is easy to maintain. An elastic and flexible cover with
an anti-slip underside - detachable with a zipper on the rear edge.
Hood Cover - Made from 2-way stretch polyester. The fabric is highly flexible and resistant to
friction. It is elasticated on all sides, is detachable and easy to remove and fit when washing.
Deluxe Cover - A detachable cover with plush polyester outside and a self-ventilating material
inside. Zipper on rear edge. An elastic and flexible material on the top side that prevents the
user sliding and an underside made from an anti-slip material.
