Operating the RhythmPad
GP
using default settings
Having installed the RhythmPad software suite onto a suitable computer and
connected the RhythmPad
GP
pad via USB to the same computer the RhythmPad
system is now to be operated.
To start a screening, simply click on the icon on the desktop, or launch the program
from the start menu -> All programs -> Cardiocity.
It is important at this stage to ensure that the user is grounded to the system. This is
done in the unlikely event that the user is carrying an electrical static charge. To
discharge any excess charge we ask that the user place their thumbs on the silver
grounding discs, taking care not to touch the sensor squares.
If this is the first time you have run the software and you have not changed the
configuration menu, then the system will run with the default mode.
The system starts by presenting the language selection.
If the status bar at the bottom is red as in the picture above the RhythmPad
GP
is
disconnected. Connecting the RhythmPad
GP
to the computer’s USB port will connect
the RhythmPad
GP
to the software suite and the status bar will change to green.
