Auto-ID Module Section
NOTES:
The Alaris
®
System determines if the module selected is
appropriate for the scanned medication type. If the selection
is not appropriate (for example, a bag was scanned but a
PCA
Module channel was selected), a pop-up warning displays
with a request to
CONFIRM
the message, and the scan is
cancelled.
If a continuous Guardrails
®
Infusion is running, the system
checks to verify scanned and infusing medication and
concentration are the same. If not, an error message displays
with a request to
CONFIRM
the message, and the scan is
cancelled.
