Check the transmission under operating
conditions for disengagement of gears,
abnormal noise, and abnormal heating.
Check the oil level in the case.
Check for fuel leakage from fuel
tank, injection pump, hoses, pipes.

If the engine is operating abnormally,
or if the exhaust condition at idle
or at high RPM is abnormal, check
the engine compression.
If you hear valve noise or
the engine is not running
smoothly, check valve clear-
ance.
No cracks or deformities.

Shift the gears, and check
the clutch for ease of
disengagement.
There must be no slippage,
and the disengagement must
be smooth.
Check the belt for cracking,
