Navigational Instruments
All the navigation instruments, except the compass, are
optional. Some general information is given on the most
commonly used instruments.
Always read the Owner’s Manual supplied by the Manufacturer
for all the instruments installed on board.
Compass
◊
The yacht is equipped with a standard compass mounted in the
binnacle on the wheel pedestal.
• At delivery, the compass is not adjusted.
• Remember to have the compass adjusted by a qualified compass
adjuster when all the other fittings and instruments have been
installed.
• Keep portable radios, torch-lights, tape-recorders, cameras with
built-in exposure meter and other instruments containing batteries
or metal objects such as pots etc. away from the compass since
they strongly affect the magnetic field of the compass.
Instruments Electrical Supply
• The electric power supply of the various instruments is activated
by the magneto-thermal switches in the 12 Vdc Service Panel: for
