Updating the Firmware
This section describes the procedure for updating the firmware of the Wireless LAN
using the Remote UI. The following files can be downloaded using the firmware
updating function:

Make sure to perform the following procedure before updating the firmware.
- Set [Primary Network Setting] to 'Standard Network'.

select [Standard Network]. (The settings
are enabled after the machine is restarted.)
- Connect the machine to your computer using a LAN cable.
- Read the README file included with the firmware.

If the firmware update is not completed successfully, due to a reason such as the power
turning off during the update, the Wireless LAN Board may start in the Adhoc mode. For
information on the Adhoc mode, see "Emergency Startup Mode," on p. 4-12.
•
Confirm that the machine is not operating before performing the firmware update. Also
make sure to not perform printing while the firmware is being updated, as this may cause
the firmware to not be updated correctly.
