If the Extension Card Settings Screen Can Be Displayed
Confirm the status of the LNK indicator, ERR1 indicator, and any error messages to
resolve the error.

times
The Wireless LAN Board is
communicating in the
emergency startup mode.
Update the firmware and start the correct
firmware. (See "Updating the Firmware,"
on p. 4-9.) If the Wireless LAN Board still
does not work after updating the firmware,
contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
Status Cause Remedy
Not lit Hardware error. Contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
Flashes
Incorrect wireless LAN
settings.
Refer to "Error Messages," on p. 3-7, and
Chapter 2, "Using the Wireless LAN Board
in a Network," to confirm whether the
wireless LAN settings are correct.
Status Cause Remedy
Flashes once
Unsupported EAP type
received.
Set the EAP type of the access point to the
EAP type set in "802.1X/EAP Settings,"
on p. 2-20.
Flashes twice Invalid certificate.
Refer to "802.1X/EAP Settings," on p. 2-20,
and "WPA/WPA2-PSK Settings," on p. 2-27
to set a valid certificate.
Flashes three
times
Time not set.
Set the time. (See e-Manual > Settings/
Registration.)

times Received invalid
authentication packet.
