NOTE
If you want to turn the main power OFF, turn the control panel power switch OFF, and
then press the main power switch to the “
” side. You can also use the Auto Shutdown
Time setting to shut down the machine. For more information, see Chapter 3, “Useful
Functions and Settings,” in the
Reference Guide .

If the message <Dept. ID/Pass Input> appears, enter your Department ID (and
password). (See Chapter 2, “Entering the Department ID and Password,” in the
Reference Guide .)

If the message <Enter User ID/Pass> appears, enter your User ID (and password). (See
Chapter 2, “Entering a User ID and Password,” in the
Reference Guide .)

The default copy settings are:
- Copy Ratio: Direct (100%)
- Paper Selection: Auto Paper Selection
- Copy Density: Auto Density Control
- Copy Quantity: 1
- Image Quality: Text

The default settings for the Copy function of the machine are already set at the factory,
but you can change them to suit your needs. (See Chapter 3, “Customizing Settings,” in
the
Copying Guide .)

You can select which functions to display on the Standby display when turning the main
power ON, according to the Additional Functions menu. (See Chapter 3, “Useful
Functions and Settings,” in the
Reference Guide .)
