Recommended Operating Environment
The recommended operating environment other than the following is dependent on the connected scanner.
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista with Service Pack 2 or later (32-bit and 64-bit editions)
Microsoft Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (32-bit and 64-bit editions)
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit editions)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit editions)
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2

Connecting to the Computer and Power Supply
Turning the Power
ON
Turn ON the flatbed first, and then turn ON the
Canon document scanner.
• Use the USB cables supplied with each scanner.
• Do not connect scanners other than the Canon document scanner that will be used in
conjunction with the flatbed to the computer, regardless of whether they are compatible
with the flatbed. If you do so, the flatbed or the Canon document scanner may not
operate properly.
Power button
This completes the setup.
