Battery Cover
The battery cover is intended to remain in-place on the battery at all times. It is only necessary to
slide off the cover if the cover or battery becomes damaged. The cover can be transferred to
another battery to be used when riding.
To remove the cover:
1. Remove the battery/cover from the frame. See Battery, Remove.
2. Lift the small latch.
3. Slide cover rearward.
4. Disconnect the cover from the battery.
To install the cover onto battery:
1. Align the PLUG SIDE“ cover rail and with the slots at battery end opposite the charge port .
2. Slide cover straight onto battery until slowly. As the cover slides forward be sure to align the
LOCK SIDE cover rails at the back.
3. Slide the cover cover forward until the small latch drops into place and lowers.
4. Check to make sure the cover is latched correctly before installing the battery back into the
frame.
NOTICE
Do not ride the bike without the battery cover secured on the battery. Keep the cover clean.
Wipe with a dry towel only. Do not use lubricants or solvents. Do not force a cover onto the
battery. If it will not slide on, there is a problem that must be corrected.
Special Note: The upper and lower rail assembly fixing bolts enable the cover to be adjusted for
best cosmetic fit between frame and installed battery. The screws, accessible on the front of
the cover, are conceaed by foil.
