Inspecting the Drive Belt
1. Inspect belt for cracks, fraying or abnormal
wear. Replace if necessary.
2. Check drive belt width at cord level. Replace if
it is out of specification.

Inspecting and Cleaning the Throttle
Body
1. Remove the air filter housing. Refer to
AIR IN-
TAKE SYSTEM
subsection.
2. Visually inspect throttle plate and throttle body
venturi for cleanliness.
3. Clean inside throttle body if necessary. Refer to
ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION (EFI)
subsec-
tion.
Lubricating the Throttle Cable
The throttle cable must be lubricated with a sili-
cone based lubricant.
