Recommendation for extending vent and 
seat sealant, injection lines on valves having 
extended operators. 1/2” Sched. 80 piping is 
suggested for all lines.

B. OPERATOR EXTENSION - FIELD MOUNTING 

Move ball slightly off the open or closed position. Remove 
key from stem. Remove primary gear and clean adapter plate 
surfaces. Install gasket on adapter flange. Insert eyebolt in drive 

tube and install over stem, being careful  not to damage key. 
Install extended yoke onto adapter flange, bolting up tight 
to torque specifications in Part VI. (Page 12). Install gasket on 
extended yoke mounting flange. Install "alignment lugs" on 
adapter plate and extended drive yoke. Mount primary gear 
on extended yoke. Refer to above section on mounting primary 
gear operator for instructions on setting stops. 

NOTE: After field mounting extension on Standard Ball 

Valve, primary gear operator stops will have to be reset.

B. OPERATOR EXTENSION - FIELD MOUNTING 

Move ball slightly off the open or closed position. Remove 
key from stem. Remove primary gear and clean adapter plate
