Mirror Mount and Mirrors
The standard mirror set for the 6220H motor is the 6M2205S-S. This set will move a 5mm beam
through a 60
°
optical cone angle. The mirrors are made from high quality fused silica substrates
and have a high reflectivity protected silver coating. CTI also offers several other substrates and
coatings to meet any optical application. Please consult the factory for details.
For custom mirror designs, CTI offers a mirror mount numbered the 61522-1. For a nominal
mounting fee, CTI will precision mount customer supplied optics. This ensures mass balancing
for high acceleration applications.
A mirror is precisely positioned then epoxied into a slot in the mirror mount. The mirror mount
uses a compression style clamping scheme to grab the scanner shaft. This is the only CTI
recommended method for attaching loads to the scanner shaft.
Do not use a mirror mount that
drives a set screw into the scanner shaft!
Set screws will damage the shaft and not yield a
solid, robust connection between the shaft and mirror mount.
