In its “STEREO”
mode, the 

Model

88

 will reproduce

FM stations and an
external program
source (CD or AUX)
in normal stereo.

The “MONO” mode
eliminates stereo sepa-
ration on FM stations
and external program
sources. This will reduce
noise on stereo sources.
It will also send single
channel external sources
(TVs, mono tape players,
etc.) to both left and
right speakers.

In its “WIDE” mode, the

Model 88

 will enhance

stereo separation of FM
stations and or external
program sources (CD or
AUX). Depending on the
program material, the stereo
soundstage will sound much
wider than the radio.

Shut off Delay

Use the 3.5mm stereo minijack for private head-
phone listening. The headphone output may be
different than the radio output level, so be sure to
lower the volume setting before inserting or removing
the headphone plug.

When turned off or unplugged, the 

Model 88

 retains its station

and volume settings. You can move the 

Model 88

 to another

room anytime and it will resume operation exactly as you left it.

Under most conditions, the bass output
will sound balanced with the Subwoofer
Level Control left at its factory setting
(midway). Adjust this control up or down if
you wish more or less bass output.
