When using LPUs on the Ethernet Ports of the 3 GHz 450m, a separate PoE power supply must be used
at the bottom of the mast to forward bias the diodes in the LPUs. This should be placed in the same
position as used in a PoE Ethernet Port. If this is not done, CRC errors will occur on the Ethernet
interface.
DC LPU and Grounding Kit
450m 3GHz LPUs provide transient voltage surge suppression for ODU installations. Each cable requires
two LPUs, one near the ODU and the other near the linked device, usually at the building entry point.
