Battery access
The battery compartments house 4 sliding battery trays. Each tray holds one battery string
made up of four batteries.
You can access the battery compartments from the front or rear of the cabinet.
•
Use the front to service the batteries in the sliding trays.
•
Use the rear to access the battery temperature sensors and seismic fasteners.
Procedure to remove a battery compartment panel
Step
Action
1.
Insert the key into a latch and turn it counterclockwise until it
stops to release the panel latch.
Repeat for all other latches on the panel.
2.
Lift the panel slightly to free the tabs at the bottom of the panel from the
cabinet, then lay the panel down in front of the compartment.
3.
On the panel, remove the ground strap from the panel.
4.
Set the battery compartment panel out of your way.
