INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Mounting Luminaire (Aircraft Cable Assembly) 2 of 2
Tighten hex nuts
to secure in place
Lead Wire
After all luminaires have been mounted, secure Aircraft Cable Assemblies to
luminaire by tightening lower hex nuts. All aircraft cables must rest in a vertical
position. Do not allow aircraft cables to rest at a slant or angle. Adjust as needed.
Note:
The position of the Aircraft Cable Assemblies may deviate from the
spacing diagrams on page 6 due to variations within the installation area.
Ensure all luminaires are appropriately balanced.

Make wiring connections from driver to 1st PCB. Pull lead wires from luminaire
and make splice connections to lead wires from driver. Verify wiring diagram
before connecting.

Perform a continuity test before connecting luminaire to power source.
Refer to page 10 for continuity test step by step.

Confirm that Mud-In trim is securely mounted to ceiling drywall, then apply 1/8”
mud to ceiling trim.

Verify driver wire colors from wiring diagram, then connect luminaires to power
source. Drivers used for this product vary. Always confirm wiring diagram from
driver installation instructions before connecting.

After ceiling drywall is installed, install countersink screws to connect Mud-In
trim to ceiling drywall. The trim ships with pre-drilled holes. All holes must be
used to securely mount trim to drywall.

If applicable, install mud-in end cap at end of run. The mud-in end cap is used
when the end of the luminaire terminates at drywall. Cut a hole in the drywall
where luminaire opening will be present. Only the main extrusion should be
exposed. Install mud-in end cap using countersink screws and ensure it is flush
with drywall. Apply mud to create a smooth, even surface.

If applicable, position the driver in the center of luminaire and secure using set
screws (by others). Do not mount drivers between luminaires.
Note:
Driver size and location of mounting holes may differ from below example.

Secure connections between continuous runs using Connector Blocks after all
luminaires have been mounted.

Refer to steps on page 7 for details.

After all luminaires are mounted, adjust height and levelness of each fixture by
adjusting cable gripper. Use a dummy piece of drywall to perfect the height at
which the fixtures will rest. The drywall will be tucked into the gap between the
Hard Ceiling Trim and the concealed ceiling grid when hung.
Note:
One person holds the luminaire and another person adjusts cable gripper.

Install Ceiling Trim after all luminaires have been mounted and connected.

Follow the steps on page 8 to install Ceiling Trim.
