Principio di funzionamento
Il miscelatore termostatico miscela l’acqua calda e fredda in modo da mantenere costante la temperatura impostata per
l'acqua miscelata in uscita. Un elemento termostatico è completamente immerso nell’acqua miscelata. Questo elemento
si contrae o si espande provocando il movimento del pistone, chiudendo le entrate dell'acqua calda o fredda e regolando
le portate in ingresso alla valvola. Se ci sono variazioni di temperatura o pressione in ingresso, l’elemento interno reagisce
automaticamente ripristinando il valore della temperatura originariamente impostato. In caso di guasto dell'alimentazione
dell’acqua calda o fredda, il pistone si chiude, bloccando l'uscita dell'acqua miscelata.
Operating principle
The thermostatic mixing valve mixes hot and cold water in such a way as to maintain constant set temperature of the
mixed water at the outlet. A thermostatic element is fully immersed into the mixed water. This element then contracts or
expands causing movement of the piston, closing either the hot or cold inlets, regulating the flow rates entering the valve.
If there are variations of temperature or pressure at the inlets, the internal element automatically reacts to restore the
original temperature setting. In the event of a failure of either the hot or cold supply, the piston will shut off, stopping water
discharging from the mixed water outlet.
Principe de fonctionnement
Le mitigeur thermostatique mélange l’eau chaude et l’eau froide de sorte que la température de l’eau mitigée réglée reste
constante à la sortie. Une capsule thermostatique est totalement immergée dans l’eau mitigée. Cette capsule se contracte
ou se détend provoquant le déplacement du piston qui ferme les arrivées d’eau chaude ou froide et régule le débit sur
l’entrée du robinet. Si les températures ou les pressions en entrée varient, la capsule réagit automatiquement et rétablit la
valeur prédéfinie de la température. En cas de problème au niveau de l’alimentation en eau chaude ou froide, le piston se
ferme et bloque la sortie d’eau mitigée.

Het thermostatische regelventiel mengt het warme en koude water om de ingestelde temperatuur voor het uitgaande
mengwater constant te houden. Een thermostatisch element is volledig ondergedompeld in het mengwater. Dit element
krimpt of zet uit waardoor de zuiger beweegt, de warm- of koudwaterinlaten worden afgesloten en het debiet bij de inlaat
wordt geregeld. Indien er variaties in de temperatuur of de druk bij de inlaat zijn reageert het interne element automatisch
en herstelt het de waarde van de oorspronkelijk ingestelde temperatuur. Bij een storing van de warm- of koudwatertoevoer
wordt de zuiger gesloten en blokkeert zo de mengwateruitlaat.
