INTELLIBEAM™ AUTOMATIC
HEADLAMPS (if equipped)
IntelliBeam uses a digital light
sensor behind the inside rearview
mirror to maximize forward night
vision. The system automatically
switches on the high-beam
headlamps when no other vehicle
traffic is present, and switches to
low beam intensity when the
headlamps or taillamps of other
vehicles are detected. The system
operates only when driving over
20 mph (32 km/h).
The system is turned on
automatically when the headlamp
system is set to AUTO and the turn
signal/multifunction lever is in the
low beam position.
To turn off the system, press the
(On/Off) button on the inside
rearview mirror. Press the button
again to turn the system back on.
AUTOMATIC HEADLAMP SYSTEM
Your vehicle is equipped with an
Automatic Headlamp System,
which automatically turns on the
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
during the day and the headlamps
and other exterior lamps at night
or when necessary.
The system uses a light sensor,
located on top of the instrument
panel, to determine light conditions.
For proper system operation, avoid
placing any objects on or near
the sensor.
Exterior Lamp Controls
The exterior lamps also can be
operated manually using the control
knob located on the left side of the
instrument panel. The knob can be
rotated to the following positions:
