ISOFIX Child Restraint
Systems
ISOFIX mounting brackets are marked
by

on the seat back.
Fasten vehicle-approved ISOFIX child
restraint systems to the ISOFIX
mounting brackets.
Specific vehicle ISOFIX child restraint
system positions are marked in the
“ ISOFIX Child Restraint Systems
Installation Suitability ” table. See
Where to Put the Restraint 0 92 .
No more than two ISOFIX child
restraint systems can be installed on
the rear seats at the same time,
though not right next to each other.
Top-Tether Fastening Eyes
Top-tether fastening eyes are marked
with
I
for a child seat.
In addition to the ISOFIX mounting,
fasten the top-tether strap to the
top-tether fastening eyes.
ISOFIX child restraint systems of
universal category positions are
marked in the
“ ISOFIX Child Restraint
Systems Installation Suitability ” table
by IUF. See Where to Put the Restraint
0 92 .
Securing Child Restraints
(With the Seat Belt in the
Rear Seat)
When securing a child restraint with
the seat belts in a rear seat position,
study the instructions that came with
the child restraint to make sure it is
compatible with this vehicle.

Systems 0 99 for how and where to
install the child restraint using
ISOFIX. If a child restraint is secured
in the vehicle using a seat belt and it
uses a top tether, see
ISOFIX Child

anchor locations.
Do not secure a child seat in a
position without a top tether anchor if
a national or local law requires that
the top tether be anchored, or if the
instructions that come with the child
restraint say that the top strap must
be anchored.
