1.  Main Features of EP-1

Cactus EP-1 battery pack is designed to 

power Cactus Wireless Flash RF60. With 

8 AA batteries, it shortens the recycle 

time and supports more number of flashes 

per charge.

Before using the product, read the 

following instructions to ensure correct 

and safe use and to help prevent damage 

of the EP-1.

1.  This device contains high 

voltage components inside. Do 

not disassemble or repair it by 

yourself. Otherwise electric shock 

may occur.

2.  Turn OFF all your equipment (Cactus 

units, cameras, etc.) before 

changing batteries or making a 

connection.

3.  Remove batteries during storage.

4.  Do not permanently store the product 

in a high temperature environment 

(i.e., under strong direct sunlight, 

near cooking stoves or oven).

5.  Do not operate the device in the 

presence of flammable gases or 

fumes. 

6.  Keep out of reach of children.

7.  This device is not water resistant. 

Keep it away from rain, snow or 

humidity.

8.  Do not leave or use this device at a 

temperature of 45°C or above.

9.  To avoid overheating of the flash, 

do not fire more than 20 continuous 

flashes at full power. After 

20 continuous flashes in short

5.  Operation

1.  Install 8 AA batteries into the 

EP-1 battery pack, and 4 AA 

batteries into the flash.

2.  Insert the Flash Power Cable into 

the charging socket of the flash.

3.  Switch on the flash.

4.  Status Indicator turns green 

briefly as it charges the flash. 

5.  Status Indicator then turns red 

when flash is fully charged.

6.  If Status Indicator does not 

light up, manually switch on the 

EP-1 Battery Pack by pressing the 

ON/OFF Button.

7.  Mount the EP-1 to the camera’s 

tripod socket using the 1/4” 

Tripod Screw.
