5. USING THE COMPRESSION TOOL
a. Select the appropriate adaptor for the connector to be compressed.
b. Screw the adaptor to the tool’s plunger.
c. Place the connector/cable assembly into the compression tool with the connector end
flush with the adaptor and the compression end against the tool’s back plate.
d. The tool’s back plate can accommodate RG59 and RG6 coaxial cables, and RG11
cable by flipping down the plate designed for smaller cables.
e. Adjust the adaptor length from the plunger to ensure the connector/cable assembly fits
snugly in the tool.
f.
Using the tool’s handle, compress until the connector’s sealing sleeve (colored area) is
fully compressed (no color showing). Do not use excessive force. Apply only enough
force to make the connection.
g. Remove the connector/cable assembly from the tool and tug the fitting to ensure there
is a solid connection.
