Possible Areas for Treatment:
General aches and pains, and most importantly aches
and pains on the basis of Qi stagnation and blood
stagnation (tension, dislocation, sprains, herniation,

Cupping therapy should not be used in the following
cases:

near large blood vessels

in the increased tendency to bleed, in blood
coagulation disorders, hemophilia (will induce

pronounced anemia present, deficient in bodily
fluids (will induce bleeding)
▪
Edema (oedema)
▪
pregnancy
▪
skin lesions (Psoriasis, Neurodermitis)
▪
where scars or scar tissue is present
▪
Melanomas or any kind of skin eruption
▪
Eczema
▪
on injuries
▪
acute infection
▪
on foals, or on old and/or weak horses (no induced
bleeding)
RESIDUAL RISKS:
Using the equine cupping machine for anything other
than its intended use can result in the following side
effects:

circulatory disorders

burn blisters
▪
skin reactions
Careful measures should be taken to ensure the
appropriate duration time for each therapy session!
The average duration of a cupping therapy session
for humans is approx. 10 -
