WARNING: When digging the hole and inserting the Ground Stake (L), make
sure that in the area there are no underground electrical cables or wires,
water pipes, gas lines, etc.
both the holes in the top of the Ground Stake and the lower holes in the House/Tower
Assembly.
See Parts Diagram on page 5 and Figure 1, right.
3.
Choose a location away from other nighttime light sources and dig a hole about 8-1/2
inches into the ground. If the ground is hard, soak it with water prior to digging. After
digging, refill the hole with the loosened soil.
4.
Work the Ground Stake (L) into the ground without forcing it. Forcing will break the
Ground Stake (L) and permanently damage the Solar Lighthouse. Make sure the Solar
Lighthouse is stable.
Note: This unit is shipped with the switch in the OFF
position. The unit must be turned on prior to use.
5.
Observe carefully within the Aluminum Hood (E) to see
if the switch is in the ON or OFF position. If the switch
is in the OFF position, the light will not illuminate and
the unit will concentrate on charging the batteries. The
switch can usually be accessed without disassembly
through the Aluminum Hood (E).
