The throttle lever - throttle lock holds the engine above adle to assist with starting & may
drive the cutting blades then the engine is started.
To release the throttle lock, simply let go of the throttle lever and the engine will return to
running in idle mode.
If the engine does not start up after several attempts, read the section on trouble shooting.
Always pull the starter out in a straight line. IF THIS IS NOT FOLLOWED, STARTER CORD WILL
BE FRAYED AND CORD WILL BREAK! This is not covered by the product Warranty.

Emergency Stop Procedure
• If it becomes necessary to stop the machine immediately. Let go of the throttle lever and
move the stop switch to ‘OFF’. (See Fig. 6).
• Note the switch will need to be returned to the ‘ON’ position prior to restarting.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The Use Of The Handle
• To reduce fatigue when trimming hedges, the handle can be swivelled through 90° to the left or right.
Process is as follows:
1.
Free the handle by pulling the locking lever.
2.
Turn the handle until the locking lever clicks into place.
3.
When the handle is locked in its new position you can begin working.
Caution
• Don’t use the Hedge Trimmer when the handle is pulled

Operation
1.
While trimming, you should go forward along trimmed way. Going back is not allowed.
2.
Make sure the machine is used in normal condition away from the rock, wire, hard wood,
plastic.
3.
Never use this machine for branches above 8mm.
