Troubleshooting
In small engines generally, difficult starting and erratic running is most often caused by a
dirty spark plug. If a new spark plug of the correct type does not restore the engine to
proper operating condition, the problem may be solved by reference to the chart below.

Press terminal cover fully onto

Turn fuel tap 'OFF'. Pull starter cord

tap 'ON'
Dirty spark plug

Stale fuel in tank from last season
Empty and refill with clean fuel, if it does not
work contact Service Centre.
Water in fuel tank
Empty and refill with clean fuel, if it does not
