An alternate method of installation is to mount the enclosure against a surface using lag bolts or
other appropriate fasteners through the center holes in the top and bottom metal mounting
brackets.
An accessory kit is available for order to mount the enclosure against a flat surface. The kit includes
2 plastic mounting brackets (also called flanges) and mounting hardware (4 flat-head screws).

Mounting the Enclosure on a Pole or Pipe (Typical Installation)
To install NEMA-rated ORB or SAT enclosures on a pole or pipe (the typical method), complete
the following procedure:
1.
Run one u-bolt around the pole, through the pipe bracket, and then through the top
mounting bracket. See Figure 2-3.
2.
Slide a washer over and thread a nut onto each end of the u-bolt and tighten each nut.

Repeat steps

for the bottom mounting bracket.
