Verano’s blend of comprehensive connectivity and purposeful
technologies are rare for the segment.
• Standard Remote Vehicle Starter System – On models
equipped with heated seats and heated outside rearview
mirrors, Remote Vehicle Starter System automatically
activates those features at temperatures below 45°.
• eZ Key passive entry system and Push Button Start – This
wireless keyless fob system enhances convenience. It unlocks
the driver door and starts Verano with the Push Button Start
control—even if the key fob is tucked away. When the key fob
is within 3’ of the driver door, simply push the door handle
button to unlock the driver door. Standard on Leather 1SL and
Turbo 1ST.
• Rear Vision Camera – To give you more confidence when
backing up, the camera displays a live image of the area
behind Verano on the dash-mounted screen. Standard
for 2013.
• ultrasonic Rear Parking assist – Alerts the driver with an
audible cue about certain stationary objects near Verano’s
rear area during low-speed reverse maneuvers. Standard on
Convenience 1SG, Leather 1SL and Turbo 1ST.
• Side Blind Zone alert (SBZa) – Helpful for making lane
changes, SBZA alerts the driver if sensors detect a vehicle
in your left or right blind zone. Standard on Convenience
1SG, Leather 1SL and Turbo 1ST. (See the Safety Section for
additional details.)
• Rear Cross traffic alert – Warns the driver about moving
objects and traffic while the vehicle is in Reverse. Especially
helpful for backing out of parking spaces. Standard on
Convenience 1SG, Leather 1SL and Turbo 1ST.
• Buick intellilink – An infotainment interface that manages
and operates Verano’s entertainment, phone and navigation
(if equipped) systems. It also integrates and operates
compatible portable devices using Verano’s infotainment
controls—helping drivers keep their hands on the wheel
and eyes on the road. Use the intuitive, high-resolution 7"
LED color touch-screen, steering wheel controls or hands-
free voice- recognition features to control your paired and
connected smartphone. The new Quick Info icon allows quick
on-screen access to SiriusXM Travel Link, Audio Info and
OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation features. Standard for 2013.
• Bluetooth for Phone and Music – Pairs Bluetooth-enabled cell
phones with the vehicle’s audio system for hands-free voice-
activated cell phone operation. Access your phone’s numbers
and contacts to make calls while keeping your hands on the
steering wheel. You can also stream media from your Pandora
Internet Radio and Stitcher accounts from your smartphone or
compatible Bluetooth-enabled device. Standard for 2013.
• uSB – The standard USB port in Verano’s center console lets
you connect compatible MP3 devices, flash drives and devices
tethered by USB cable to the vehicle’s audio system.
• onStar – The Directions & Connections Plan is standard for
the first six months on Verano and combines Safe & Sound
Plan services with Turn-by-Turn Navigation, eNav with Google
Maps or MapQuest, and Destination Download.
• Buick owner myBuick app – Brings vehicle connectivity to the
palm of your hand and is another great way to stay connected
to your Verano. Gain mobile access to practical features like
Find My Car, schedule service and get roadside assistance
should you ever need it. You can also quickly search your
digital Owner’s Manual to find helpful information.
• onStar Remotelink mobile app – Connect to an OnStar
Advisor and check on your vehicle remotely. If you’ve got an
iPhone or Android-based mobile device and cellular service,
you can control your vehicle from your phone. Lock or unlock
doors, start the vehicle remotely, activate horn and lights and

• 7" color touch-screen radio with aM/fM/SiriusXM/Cd/MP3/
uSB (ufu) – Includes a 7" color LED touch-screen display, six
speakers, an auxiliary input port, USB port and single-disc CD/
MP3 player. Includes Buick IntelliLink features, Bluetooth for
Phone and Music, and Pandora and Stitcher compatibility.
• Bose premium 9-speaker audio system – The Bose system for
Verano is custom-engineered for the interior and features a
unique acoustic blueprint for the cabin. The digital amplifier
includes seven channels of custom equalization, proprietary
digital signal processing, four woofers, four tweeters and a
Bose Twiddler mid/high-range speaker. Standard on Leather
1SL and Turbo 1ST. Available on Convenience 1SG.
• audio system with navigation (uHQ) – Includes all the
features of the standard audio system plus GPS navigation.
Available on Convenience 1SG, Leather 1SL and Turbo 1ST.
Requires the Bose premium 9-speaker audio system.
• SiriusXM Radio – With a 3-month trial to the ‘XM Premier’
package, you’ll hear the music, sports, comedy and more that

• navtraffic – Standard on Verano models equipped with a
screen-based navigation system and includes three trial
months of service. NavTraffic enhances your vehicle’s GPS
navigation system by showing continuously updated traffic

• SiriusXM travel link – Brings a wealth of information,
including weather forecast and fuel station data—into your
vehicle and right to your compatible vehicle navigation

• SiriusXM tuneSelect – Finds your favorite artist and songs
whenever they’re being played on any SiriusXM channel. If
the Tune Alert infotainment feature sees any of your search
criteria on any SiriusXM channel, it will alert you that your
favorite song or artist is playing and offer you the option to
instantly tune to it.
