REMOVAL
NOTE
Steps 1 and 2 are not required for detaching caliper from
rotor. Drain fluid only when disassembling caliper.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Always drain brake fluid into a suitable container. Dis-
card used fluid according to local laws.
1.
Drain and discard brake fluid.
CAUTION
Damaged banjo bolt seating surfaces will leak when
reassembled. Prevent damage to seating surfaces by
carefully removing brake line components.

Remove banjo bolt (3) (metric) and two
banjo washers (4) to disconnect brake line (1) from cali-
per. Discard banjo washers.

Remove brake pads.

Remove pin plug (5).

Remove pad hanger pin (1) (met-
ric).

Remove brake pads from caliper.

a.
Remove lower mounting screw (6).
b.
Remove upper mounting screw (6) and brake line
wireform (7) while supporting caliper above brake
rotor.
c.
Slowly remove caliper by tilting away from wheel and
then pulling away from rotor.
d.
Separate carrier and caliper.
