Lighting
Caution:
Keep outdoor gas appliance area clear and free from combustible
materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids.
Caution:
Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
Caution:
Check and clean burner/venturi for insects and insect nests. A clogged venturi
can lead to a fire beneath appliance.
1. Make sure all labels, packaging and protective films have been removed from gas
appliance.
2. Push in and turn gas control knob counter clockwise to pilot and hold pushed in.
The gas will take 1 to 2 seconds to get to pilot. See Figure 19.
3. While holding control knob in, push the igniter button (you will hear a quick loud
snapping sound.) Push igniter button in a couple of times until you see pilot is lit. Hold
control knob in 20 seconds until thermocouple is hot.
4. After pilot is lit, turn control knob to low then to high. Observe burner flame.
Make sure all burner ports are lit and flame matches illustration. See Figure 20.
5. Adjust flame to desired height with the control knob.
Caution:
If burner flame goes out during operation, immediately turn control
knob ( OFF) and let gas clear for 5 minutes before re-lighting.
Turning Off
1. Turn LP gas tank valve to “CLOSED” .
2. Turn control knob to the “OFF” position.
Note: A “poof” sound is normal as the last of LP gas is burned.
