6 Brakes
6.1 Brake adjustment information
The brakes should be adjusted so that, when the brake levers are pulled to their
halfway travel position (Fig.1), the whole of the brake pad braking surfaces rest against
the wheel rim (Fig.2).

6.2 Adjusting the brakes
If you are unhappy with your brakes.
You can adjust your brakes using the cable tension adjustment screw. This is located
next to the brake lever (Fig.3). Tightening the cable screw inwards slightly slackens the
cable, thereby widening the distance between the brake pads. Untightening the screw
outwards tautens the cable, thereby bringing the brake pads closer to the wheel rim.
6.3 Replacing the brake pads
The brake pads should be replaced as soon as the grooves are no longer visible
(Fig.4)
