6.Open the test strip vial. Take one
new test strip out of the vial and
recap the vial quickly and firmly.
7.Insert the test strip into the meter
while the meter is off. The meter will
turn on automatically. A blinking
blood icon will be displayed on the
screen. If no action is taken in 2
minutes, the meter will turn off
automatically.
8.Use the adjustable lancing device
or the disposable lancet to take a
blood sample from the fingertip and
let it form a small round blood drop.
To avoid body fluid contamination,
it is recommended that you do not
use the first blood drop for glucose
testing.
